Join Licensed NYC Tour Guide/Real Estate Agent Hank Orenstein.  You'll learn everything from the history of the area to the current real estate market, landmarks, unique features, and cultural attractions presented in an engaging, entertaining and informative way.

The tours last approximately two hours. Bring your camera and your friends. Work up an appetite for brunch!

TOURS ARE LIMITED TO 25 PEOPLE. Let's Explore Harlem!      Sunday, June 1 at 10:30 a.m.
From the shopping on 125th Street to the birthplace of be-bop jazz, we'll experience the new Harlem Renaissance. We will see beautiful 19th century townhouses,new developments, historic sites, houses of worship and popular restaurants.  Tour focuses on the Central Harlem area, including the magnificent Mount Morris Park Historic District and Little Senegal.

 

Where in the World is Bloomingdale and Manhattan Valley? 

This up and coming area lies between 96-110th Streets between Central Park West and Riverside Drive.  We'll pass by the birthplaces of Humphrey Bogart and Norman Rockwell, the world's largest Youth Hostel, the newly designated Manhattan Avenue Historic District, a unique museum, and numerous other curiosities.

Lower Manhattan/Financial District  
Live Where America Was Born! Yes, lower Manhattan is becoming a residential area.   This tour will cover five centuries of lower Manhattan history, from the time of Dutch Amsterdam to the present day. Magnificent landmark buildings and historic sights abound on this visit to the canyonlands of New York City. 

Chelsea:  First the History and Then the Art      

This fun tour will begin with a one hour stroll past Chelsea's landmarks, including the Chelsea Hotel, the General Theological Seminary, Cushman's Row, while tracing the area's varied history, from its days as a wealthy suburb, to an early bohemia and theatre district, to today with an explosion of new housing in the East, to the Gallery District in the West. 

The Fabulous Flatiron District  

This unique tour is filled with architectural treasures, including the Flatiron Building, Metropolitan Life, the Victorian-era department stores of the Ladies Mile Historic District, Theodore Roosevelt's birthplace, and a rejuvenated Madison Square Park.  We will also hear the story of Stanford White, the famous architect who was shot and killed at Madison Square Garden -- one of his own design creations.

The Electrifying East Village

This neighborhood, formerly part of the Lower East Side, is packed with immigrant history -- past and present.  One of the city's best neighborhoods for reasonably-priced restaurants, the East Village features lively Tompkins Square Park, the Charlie Parker residence, community gardens, unique houses of worship, including St. Marks Church-in-the-Bowery, the final resting place of Peter Stuyvesant, Governor of New Amsterdam in the mid-17th century.
